Joining the pack

 Dear Future Person,

I am getting old enough to leave my mom and siblings.  My puppy trainer brought me to her room the other night and I got to join my new pack.  Serena is my oldest "sister."  She is a 6 year old black lab.  She was my puppy trainer's 1st service dog trainee.  Now she is an ambassador for My Angel With Paws and teaches new puppies like me how to be an awesome service dog.  Serena was my dad's mentor and now she is mine.  My other "sister" is Delaney.  She is a year old Labradoodle.  She is my newest playmate.  She loves to play chase and play with toys.  I think they are both pretty awesome.  I also think all my new toys are pretty awesome.

The other day I also got to meet my "uncle" Will.  He is my puppy trainer's brother.  He came to visit and had fun running around with me and my siblings.  We chased him a bunch.  It was fun

I am getting bigger and bigger by the day.  I am now 16 pounds and still the biggest of all my siblings.  I am really enjoying all my new adventures and looking forward to many more!

Love,

Lennon

1st Christmas

 Dear Future Person,

I celebrated what humans call "Christmas" last week.  I think it is the greatest holiday in the world.  I got presents and cookies.  What could be better? My puppy trainer was joking that after 28 years she finally got a puppy for Christmas.  I think I was worth the wait.

After opening presents I got to spend a little bit of time with the older dogs.  Then I got tucked into bed with visions of doggie treats dancing in my head.

Day of firsts

Dear Future Person,

Today was a big day for me.  I had a day of many firsts.

First first:  My siblings and I went into the front yard and got to run around with my mom and Jada.  We had fun getting muddy, running and playing with all the new things we found.

After getting muddy, we all got out first bath.  I wasn't so sure about the water or about the blow dryer but eventually I just fell asleep while my puppy trainer dried me.  After getting all clean we were loaded into the car and taken to our first class at Disability Solutions.  I wore a leash and puppy vest for the first time.  I wasn't so sure about walking on leash at first but eventually got the hang of it.  I starting learning things like "sit," "down," "stand," "up," and "off."  We were told what good puppies we were.  After sleeping in the car on the way home we got to run around the yard again.  I am going to sleep well tonight!

Love,

Lennon

Hello my name is Lennon

Dear Future Person,

A whole bunch has gone on in the past month.  I have opened my eyes, opened my ears, started walking and eating puppy chow (just to name a few things).  My puppy trainer has also picked me and named me.  My name is Lennon.  I am the one with the green collar.  My puppy trainer says I am the fattest but I say I am just fluffy.

Me at 4 weeks
Me at 5 weeks

I love to snuggle and my tail loves to wag.  I am currently learning "sit"and "down."  I have another couple of weeks before I start living with my puppy trainer but until then me and my siblings are eating a ton (my best skill) and playing a lot.

1 week old!

Dear Future Person,

Yesterday I turned a week old!  I have grown a bunch in 1 week.  1 whole pound.  I can't see or hear yet but my nose is changing from pink to black.  This made my puppy trainer squeal.  Not sure why but to each their own.  A bunch of people have come to pet me and my siblings.  They are calling this "puppy socializing."  It is supposed to make me a better service dog, though I am just enjoying all the hugs and kisses.

Here is a group photo of all of us.

L to R collar color: Yellow, Green, Blue, Purple, Pink and Red

My sisters are still whiter than us boys.  We tend to be more of a red color though the people say they won't really know what color we are going to be until we grow more hair on our ears.    Right now I am concentrating on eating and sleeping.  It is hard work doing that!

I have arrived!

Dear Future Person,

As of yesterday (October 27, 2015), I have entered this world! There are 6 of us... 3 boys and 3 girls.  Funny thing, all of us boys are darker and all of the girls are lighter.  2 of us were born naturally and 4 of us were born via c-section.  We are all happy, healthy, fat puppies.  My mom, Bella, is doing great and taking amazing care of all of us.  All I do these days is eat, sleep and poop.  Oh and makes lots of noise.  I have not been chosen by my puppy trainer yet but since she is dictating this for me, I am sure she will let you know when she has chosen me.  I don't have a name yet but I do know my name will start with the letter "L."  Without further ado, pictures...

Pregnancy Annoucement

Dear Future Person,

This past weekend my dad (Ice) came down from Georgia to visit with his people.  My mom (Bella) and her people were free too.  My Future Puppy Trainer (FPT) decided it would be fun to do a Pregnancy Photo Shoot with Mom and Dad.  Mom and Dad were quite confused why they were supposed to look like they loved each other. Something called AI was how I was conceived so my Mom and Dad really have no idea who each other are.  Oh the joys of science!  Anyway, they put up with the people's craziness and got some cute photos.

My First Picture

Dear Future Person,

Today people found out I existed.  A sonogram was done on my mom and it was confirmed me and at least two more brothers or sisters were in there with me.  A sonogram does a cross section of my mom's belly so they can't count puppies unless they are all on the screen at once.  Dr. Murton was able to get three of us on the screen to pose.  See the two black blobs with a white splotch on either side of the finger?  That is us.  The finger is pointing to where the third one of us was showing up.

I am due Monday October 26th but could come over the weekend as well.  The people were really excited to find out about me, my mom, Bella, thought they were crazy.  Below is my grandma Reggie, my momma Bella and my future puppy trainer Sarah.  Sarah is also technically my grandma too since she raised my daddy Ice.

I am going to enjoy these last few weeks in the womb and then watch out world because here I come!!!
